September Energy
Are you feeling “September Energy,” in a month that is often described as “the other January" (filled with goals, new schedules, and big to-do lists), or are you easing in gently?
However September is feeling for you, I hope it's off to a good start.
It's a great time of year to take a quick pause and reflect on what we want the rest of the year to look like, to consider what matters and how we can create more ease this fall, and to potentially take a few small steps that will help us avoid the all-out-sprint toward the end of the year.
A few questions we might consider:
What do I want to celebrate about the year so far?
What were my peak moments of the summer?
How do I want to officially honor the end of summer and beginning of fall? (This could happen way down the line, especially if it's still hot and humid where you are, as it is in a lot of the country right now)
What am I most excited about for the upcoming season?
What are my top three priorities for the rest of the year?
What is one thing I can do now that my future 2027 self will thank me for?
Are there any small things I can do now that will make the holiday season feel calmer or easier?
What doesn't need to happen this year?
What else would you add?
Feel free to pick whichever question you're drawn to and carry it into the long weekend, if you'd like.
