International Day of Peace

Monday is International Day of Peace

From the UN: "Peace is more than the absence of war; it is the foundation necessary to collectively tackle humanity's challenges. It is the lived experience of safety, dignity, opportunities and cooperation in our daily lives.”

The idea of peace feels particularly poignant right now.

The question that arises for me as I reflect on International Day of Peace is:

How might cultivating more peace within ourselves shape the way we meet the challenges around us?

It relates to what we explore in Expansive Impact, which is the idea of connecting to our strong and steady center.

A few questions I'm sitting with as we approach International Day of Peace:

  • What can it look like to cultivate peace internally, while also working toward more peace externally?

  • Where might I bring a little more calm, curiosity, or care into my interactions with others?

  • What is one small action I could take?

What comes up for you?
