How can we make your day better?

kindness, better day, help

A few weeks back, I was getting ready to leave a meeting when I noticed a framed note on the wall.

It said:

Our team strives to deliver a superior experience. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your day better or make you more comfortable. We are happy to:

Answer any questions you may have

Lend you a phone charger

Provide a snack

Provide sparkling water, tea, coffee, etc.

How nice is that?

I had never seen a sign like this before in any type of office building and could only think: what if there were more signs like this in more office buildings?

What if an errand to the bank or a medical appointment or the accountant or IT support could be bolstered by the question, “how can we make your day better?”

This is wishful thinking, of course.

But in the absence of this sign going viral in office buildings around the world, we can cultivate the spirit of this sign in our everyday interactions. We can consider:

How can we make you feel welcomed?

How can we make you feel safe?

How might a small gesture make your day just a little bit better?

These are things we can do anytime, even without a sign on the wall.

What do you think?

And, have you ever seen a sign like this on the wall?

Questions? Please feel free to drop us a note anytime.
