Executing the Mission Through Service

On Wednesday, I hosted a work-related event.

After a last-minute cancellation from the venue I had previously booked, I scrambled to find a new space, clearing my calendar to search for alternatives:

  • Option #1: A modern, funky hotel conference room — no answer, no callback.

  • Option #2: A well-known national co-working space with an elevated vibe — no answer, no callback.

  • Option #3: A local co-working space — no conference rooms available for nonmembers.

  • Option #4: A national co-working space — a callback, a helpful conversation, and available options.

  • Option #5: A national community-focused co-working space — a callback within two minutes, a helpful conversation, and available options.

I went with Option #5— a space that has demonstrated exceptional customer service in every interaction I’ve had with them over the years.

When we arrived, the space was immaculate.

The community manager greeted us warmly.

Coffee, tea, water, and sparkling water were readily available.

What set this space apart wasn’t complexity, but simplicity:

Responsiveness. Friendly service. A welcoming atmosphere.

This co-working space knows its mission—and executes it flawlessly.

In an era of AI and automation, they stand out by prioritizing human-to-human relationships and meaningful, simple connections.
