BEING IN INTEGRITY VERSUS BEING LIKED

It’s often easier to try to be liked than to try to be in integrity.

To say, “Yay! That’s so great!” even when you don’t really think so.

To say, “Oh totally!” even when you don’t fully agree.

To re-post, to share, to support - even when we don’t fully stand behind the message. 

To stay silent rather than to speak up for what’s right.

To go along pretending that nothing is wrong, instead of having the hard conversation.

Sometimes, being in integrity means that we won’t be liked.

When faced with the option to stand up for what’s true, or to do what’s easy, the choice is ours to make. 

At the end of the day, which is most important - to be liked, or to be in integrity?
