WHY HIRE US?

I was recently asked by a colleague, “why should someone hire you?”

It was a fair question.

My first response was, “oftentimes I spend time telling groups not to hire me, if it isn’t the right fit or if they could save their time and money by addressing a small issue internally first.

But in the case where it is a good fit to work together (you are a high performing organization or team, and you are looking ahead to where you want to be and how to increase your leadership capacity and impact), here’s what I would say.

rETURN ON INVESTMENT.

Growing your leaders is a way to grow your bottom line. Specifically:

  • Many clients have experienced their highest revenue year during and immediately after our work together.

  • Program graduates consistently lead some of the highest impact and highest revenue grossing projects within the organization.

  • Most clients experience a 90%+ retention rate during, and immediately after, these programs.

  • Many program graduates have been elevated to new roles and new areas of responsibility within the organization, ultimately allowing for increased impact.

results.

Our work together creates results.

  • Several clients have said, “we’ve tried multiple programs in the past, and this is the first one where we’ve seen results.”

  • Many clients are on their second, third, and fourth years of our work together because they’ve seen the impact within one area of the organization and want to extend that impact to other areas as well.

  • Most of our work comes from referrals from trusted clients.

  • 100% of program participants have said that they feel a greater sense of connection with their peers as a result of this work, and nearly all program participants over the years have said that they would recommend the program to others.

APPROACH.

The Expansive Impact framework that we use has been refined over the course of the last decade and has been used with thousands of leaders spanning a number of industries. It is tested, tried, and true.

  • Unlike much of what we might find in the leadership development and coaching space, we do not offer “flavor of the month” trainings or change our entire set of business offerings based on a flashy new idea. Instead, we lean into what we know works and has been tested, while continually refreshing our offerings to reflect the state of work, the state of our world, and what is needed in a given moment.

  • We practice discernment and distillation in order to create the best possible program for you. Our approach blends the best of both worlds: a tried, true, and tested model, infused with cutting edge research, frameworks, and ideas.

PERSPECTIVE.

With experience leading teams and divisions in the corporate world, as well as running a business, we have first-hand perspective that serves our work together.

  • All of the coaches on the Zing Collaborative coaching team have direct experience leading people, projects, and teams for large, reputable organizations (think: leading healthcare IT companies, medical device companies, and consumer packaged goods companies).

  • Together, we have over 30 years of corporate leadership experience, which serves as a foundation to our coaching work.

FOCUS.

We don’t spend our time making TikTok videos or milling about at random networking events. We spend our time engaged in deep conversations with our clients; in partnership with CEOs, founders, and executives; and aiming to be of service to you, our clients. We know that your time is valuable, and so is ours. We aim to focus on the things that matter most.

  • Our intention is to make your life easier and to allow your team to shine throughout this process.

  • We aim for a joyful partnership in which we work hard and have fun along the way.

INTEGRITY.

Integrity is our #1 business driver and guides everything we do, every decision we make, and how we approach our client relationships.

  • We aim for win-win-win solutions, which means a solution that is a win for you (the client), for us (as a business) and for the greater good (our community and our environment).

  • We will tell you up front if it doesn’t seem like a good fit to work together, and we take our time in the sales process to make sure this partnership is a good fit for everyone.

  • We aim to operate with integrity and partner with others who do the same. As a result, the Zing Collaborative Community is made up of stunning humans.

RELATIONSHIPS.

At the end of the day, our client relationships are the best part of this work. Simply said: we love our clients, and each time we are able to interact.

  • We invest deeply in our client relationships, most of which span for many years.

  • We are accessible, and you are able to pick up the phone and call us anytime. Typically, these conversations are the highlight of our day.

IN CONCLUSION. . .

When considering leadership development partners for your organization or team, you have a lot of options to choose from. Our hope is that this post offers a bit of perspective on how we work and how we approach our work with clients.

If it feels like it could be a great fit to work together, we would love to hear from you.

Thanks for reading.

Last week I won the president’s award. This is a huge career accomplishment! Across the nation there are only about 10 people selected for this award. I wanted to say thank you for your coaching class because it helped me to fine tune my leadership skills and understand more about myself. I am looking forward to the next one!

I often think of our group, your thoughtfulness, and how much you supported and helped me grow during a very challenging time.

My phone was on fire with text messages from people saying how much they appreciated this program. One person said they were actually brought to tears.

I’m happy to share that I applied the strategies and suggestions you taught completely transformed my meeting with my supervisee. Before your training, I was dreading the conversation, convinced my supervisee would lash out, and certain our working relationship would end. I used the suggestions you and fellow trainees gave in addition to setting aside an hour to prepare for the meeting. As a result, the meeting was remarkably similar to my “Aspirational Vision”! It was a clear two-sided conversation with mutual respect and understanding and our working relationship is stronger. I appreciate your expertise and support in working through my meeting as an example in our training. It totally transformed my viewpoint and the results of the conversation. I feel more confident and prepared for future crucial conversations than ever before.
